Carrier gurus, I need help wiring Infinity Control
Hello. We currently an Infinity Control that i connected to our 58MVC furnace using the 4 wire ABCD bus, we also have a 5/1/1 White Rodgers t-stat using 3 wires (RC,Y,G) to control a separate non comunicating single stage split ac system.
We would like to consolidate into a single thermostat using only the infinity control to program both systems. From what i understand by reading the Carrier manuals that i have to wire our AC system into the 24v terminal block located in our 58MVC furnace. However since i have a split system my air handler uses the G terminal, Do i connect the ac system with all three wires using the C Y G terminals? Or would connecting all three wires to the 24v terminal block turn the air handler fan on when the heat kicks on? Or should i jump G and Y together and connect only to terminal Y on the furnace 24v terminal block? Also do i bypass the transformer on the air handler and connect everything straight to the 24v terminal block on the furnace? Thank you in advance, your help is greatly appreciated! |
