Carrier furnace problems

Hello,

I have a 6 yr old carrier furnace. It will turn on, burners will light and the blower will run for about 3-4 minutes then shut off cool down and do it all over again until the house heats up to the thermostat setting.

I am thinking it is a sensor but I have no idea.

We have a new baby in the house and a MN winter coming up so any help would be appreciated.

Try cleaning the sensor with steel wool.

One thing has me concerned is the blower.

Try the sensor first and post back how things went.

it could also be going off on limit. Is your filter clean? Your A coil could be pluged not letting air to flow through it.

It's possible it's a limit, but the fan would keep running to dissipate the excess heat if that was the case.

New baby.

Whats an old baby?

LOL.. Just kidding with you.

Since you have a baby.
You may want to have your furnace gone over by a service company, to have the whole unit checked out.

Unless you can just leave work in the middle of the day, if it quits working later again.
