Carrier 59TN6A Dip switch setting

I have the above listed dual fuel, HP,Propane furnace. One of the settings, SW 1-5, CFM per ton adjust, states: Turn on for 400 cfm per ton. Turn off for 350 cfm per ton. Factory setting is off.
Does this setting only affect the cooling speed of the furnace, or does it also adjust the heating side?

I too will be curious to hear the experts' thoughts on this one!

jeepgrady, I don't have your exact Carrier model, but based on previous threads, I think ours are close...

In my furnace manual's overall "Wiring Diagram" figure, the SW1-5 switch is called the "Cooling CFM/Ton" switch, but later in the manual (in the actual Setup Switch section), it just calls SW1-5 the "CFM per ton adjust" switch (no mention of cooling).

Does your furnace also have 3 "AC" switch options & 3 "CF" switch options (next to Switches 1 - 8)? If so, I'd next be curious to learn more about how those AC and CF switch settings relate to SW1-5...

If you don't have those other switches, please disregard - I'm not intending to derail the thread here.

Thanks, Chris

It's my understanding that the switches you are referring to fine tune the airflow for the hi and low stages of cooling.

Heating speed when using the heat pump. But not when the furnace is providing the heat.
