Carrier 58STA070 Error 12

Need some help. Here is the history that I've been working on.

Had service tech inspect. Said parts below needed to be replaced.
- Replaced ignitor element
- Replaced gas control valve
This didn't fix the problem.

Had service tech inspect. Said to replace control board. I replaced the board and it worked great for a couple of hours.

Got home from church tonight and the heat was off. Went into the attic and the LED light was continuous. SO, I turned it on and the furnace started up. About 15 seconds later a very loud crackling sound started from the furnace. I thought it was the blower but it runs fine after I power off. I got the error 12 code only once. The crackle continues each time but the LED shows continuous.

If anyone has had this happen please let me know what I need to do next...

The crackle should is similar to a partially plugged in lamp/appliance. An electrical crackle.

Would appreciate some real help and suggestions. I have 3 small kids and it gets pretty chilly at night.

If you are hearing an electrical arcing sound you need to check your line voltage wiring. An improperly grounded furnace will give you fits and be aggravating to diagnose if you're just swapping parts hoping for the best.

If you aren't comfortable working with electricity that is absolutely your best option.
