CARRIER 58RAV Furnace Blows Cold Air-No Heat

CARRIER 58RAV Furnace Blows Cold Air-No Heat
I have a Carrier Model # 58RAV50-13112 Gas Furnace (fueled by propane) that isn’t working properly. The furnace was operating properly throughout last winter. However, now it‘s not working. The fan runs but only blows cold air. The system tries to start itself several times (and I can see a flame kick on each time), but after failing about three times to fully light up , it quits trying. (a safety “lock out” I assume.) My propane tank is efinitely full and the incoming gas pressure is correct. The filter is new and the system is eleven years old. Replacing the Flame Sensor didn’t help. Neither did replacing the gas valve. On the control board, I'm getting an LED error code of 34. Before shelling out the bucks for a new control board next, is there anyone out there with a better idea or suggestion? This has been a brain buster so far.... THANKS!!!

CARRIER 58RAV Furnace Blows Cold Air-No Heat

Hi sarosie

You have a pressure switch that is opening or the induced draft motor is not running up to speed. You could also have an obstruction in the heat exchanger such as soot. If the unit has not been serviced in a while I would definately have it checked out by a reputable company before purchasing any parts.

Good luck
Rusty
