Old Carrier gas unit. Blower runs all the time. Even with the thermostat totally disconnected. Only way to stop it is to kill power. Please help. Thanks.

Im doing this remote. Said unit is in another town. He has tapped the relay with no effect. He also says it has no control board.

Is he a tenant? There may be a white button or switch if it is a very old unit on the fan control for Summer fan operation. that may be pushed in or slid on. some units also had a Summer fan button on the side of the furnace but not usually Carrier. worth lookin 4 anyway.

I will have him look at the fan control. I told him earlier to get the numbers off the relay and call me back. I may have one. If I do, I can get there in about 1/2 hour.

Finally back. Replaced the relay. Let it run through several on/off cycles and it is all good. Thank you very much.
