Default Carrier 48GS unit turns on, but no heat

hi everyone.

i'm very cold. lol

my husband is out to sea right now, and here i am alone with a broken hvac. i replaced the blower wheel in the blower motor, and put that back into the unit and hooked up all the wiring.

the unit turns on, i can hear it running, and hear a "clicking." there's no air coming out of the vents though.

could it possibly have to do with the ignition? could that be why the blower motor/wheel isn't kicking on and blowing air into the house?--because there's nothing ignited? how would i go about getting that to light?

the led on the circuit board isn't flashing. it's just on so it's not indicating any error. i had some concerns i might not have hooked up the motor right, but would the unit even turn on if the wiring was all off? in theory, if everything was hooked up right, shouldn't it just having do to with the heat source?

thanks for any advice you may have for me!
