Capacitors

I've been going thru capacitors in what it seems a high rate. One of the bloggers suggested that maybe I'm getting cheap capacitors. I just buy what the guy gives me in the store to match what I got. With that said is there a brand that is better than average or a brand that I should stay away from.

Note: The original capacitor was fill with fluid, the replacements that I have installed aren't, the original lasted quite a bit.

what is the capacitor used for?..

was the original a bakelite case and the new ones metal by chance?

are all the ratings the same as the original: mfd or F and voltage

The original had a rounded end and the probes on the other side, I think the outside was metal.on'tknow what bakelite is. The new ones are a lot slimmer but according to Trane are the right rating.
