Can a natural gas furnace go on a plywood floor?
As part of a basement renovation, I'm planning on putting down 1.5" foam sheeting covered by 5/8" plywood onto my cement slab.
I have a natural gas furnace (not a stove)--can I place the gas furnace directly on the plywood, or must it go on some sort of non-combustible surface? Note: The furnace is pushing the air up vertically. If you could reference a rule/building code/etc., I would appreciate it. Thanks. |
