Question

can i use a r410a acoil with a 13 seer r22 condenser.


I have a 3 ton condenser r22 with a r410a a coil by Nordyne model # c7bam03648c-c. The piston in the A coil is .067 The condenser is suppose to be .073. so i picked one up but it doesnt fit. The one in the a coil is way smaller. Can i use the .067 thats in the coil now. Thanks for any help in advance

Won't cool right. Guess you didn't get the piston from a Nordyne distributor. that is where you'll need to get it from, or a friendly Nordyne dealer.

You can always spend just a little more and by an R-22 txv which replaces the piston altogether.
