Can I T (connect) my dryer exhaust with my stove exhaust
I my basement, I have an exhaust for my stove, however I do not have any exhaust dryer. Recently I bought a Dryer and I want to T connect my dryer exhaust to my stove exhaust and use same outside duct.
The exhaust is very short, only about 3 feet as its near the wall with outside duct. I check with a handyman, he told me its ok as the exhaust hose is short.
Is that ok to do that? I am living in Scarborough, ON.
Your handyman may say "it is do-able" from a technical point-of-view, but he is not correct concerning codes, building or fire.
"Dryer venting shall be independent of any other systems (chimneys or exhaust vents)"
