a/c not coming on
Dear sirs.
I woke up this morning to the a/c unit not blowing cold air. I looked outside to see if it was frozen & the unit was not running, but air was blowing inside. What could be the problem? one website said it could be connectors, wiring, condensor dirty. Please help, I live in south Texas.

Check the breaker feeding the outside unit. It could be tripped. Check the disconnect box at the outside unit --- sometimes there are fuses in there. :whistling2:

Had any yardwork done lately? Maybe weedwhacked the low voltage wiring.

I take it the condensor has frozen up in the past? Could be a leak, out of gas.

Contactor coil burnt and not pulling in.

If you are comfortable with electricity see if there is power to the unit with a multimeter. Check both the low voltage at the high voltage. If you are not comfortable with electricity then call in a professional.
