Hi there. I'm in Houston so if your home is anything like the ones here, your evaporator and furnace is up in the attic. Am I right?

Most likely you have a condensate drain problem. Your air conditioner is a dehumidifier so it's consistently pulling moisture from the air. You have one main drain and one auxilary drain or you should to allow this moisture a place to go, into your plumbing for the main and outside for the secondary or over a sink/tub. From where I sit, I'd have to believe that these drains are clogged. It is an easy fix if this is the case and you can have safety float switches installed on your drain line and drain pan, assuming you have both, to prevent this from happening again.
