Burnham vs Peerless Steam Boilers
My Steam boiler has begun to leak and I will need to replace it.
It was installed in the late 70's by the previous owner and I have
used it for the last 25 years. I believe served me well (wish it had another
10 years in it )
I have had two companies in to give me quotes.
The difference between them is the boiler each is
suggesting to use.
Both companies did worked the numbers to figure out the size of the
steam boiler I would need. And both came up with the same numbers (so that is good)
Here are the boilers they are suggesting -
The Burnham MegaSteam MST396.
The Peerless ECT-03-S4
I was leaning towards the Burnham since it is a true steam boiler.
I have spent the last few days searching the net to find information
and reviews on both of these boilers. I came across this site
It was full of very unsatisfied Burnham customers.
They talk about the boilers developing leaks after 1,2 3, years. Some of these reviews were written this year.
I'm now wondering if the Burnham Mega Steam Boiler is a new design that just came out. Does anyone know
how long they have been available? I will need to ask this of the contractor.
I was hoping there might be folks here who might be willing so
share the experiences with either of these boilers.
thanks for taking the time to read my post
