hey guys, I was told by the heater guy the inducer board was bad in my bryant furnace, before I buy another one to install can I test the board out of the furnace? It is not putting voltage through to the inducer motor although it has voltage coming in. Is there a bench test for it? thanks in advance, boomer
It would be complicated to do out of the furnace but easy in the furnace. Leave all the wiring hooked up as normal, just remove the leads to the inducer and hook up a volt meter, either it will give out 120volts or it won't. To check the inducer, just power it up with a adapter cord and check the running amps with an amprobe. It's that simple.
