Bryant furnace inducer starts then furnace locks out
I have a 20 year old Bryant plus 90 furnace it does not have a dummy light to give me codes. Here is what happens*Thermostat calls for heat.**Draft inducer motor starts.*Pressure switch closes. Draft inducer*runs for any where from a couple seconds to the pilot lighting then there is a click in the gas valve. Once that happens the inducer motor runs for ten seconds and the furnace shuts down and goes into a lock out *until I turn the *power switch back off and on again. If the burners light then it runs it's cycle until the thermostat is satisfied. The pressure switch works the limit switch is fine the pilot and flame sensor are ok. I replaced the inducer control board last winter. So I think the problem is in the main control board the ignition lockout or the gas valve any help would be appreciated*

What is the model number of this furnace?

Is this a 3 wire pilot sensor? If it is measure for 24VAC between it's white wire and common. Probably need to clean the pilot oriface if you have this item.

Does the gas valve have 24VAC when it turns off? I doubt it.

I can't get Bryant manuals but this sounds alot like the 58SX...

Pick and hold problem?
the model # is398AAZ048100AAKA I am leaning toward it being a problem with the gas valve it is a 5 wire system with a pick and hold circuit(I am learning). Every time it locks out the valve makes a sound like a pop (hard to describe) but the inducer runs another 15 seconds and shuts off. It does have a three wire pilot sensor some times the pilot lights most times it does not get that far into the cycle

I would first test the gas valve for 24V . If you measure 24V at the MV terminal on the gas valve and the main gas doesn't turn on, you have a valve problem.
