Boiler components all different brands?

So I went to start up and test my HW Baseboard heating system and realized that every integral part of the heater is a different brand. The damper is from Mizer, the control/pilot is from honeywell, and the boiler itself is Slantfin. The installation looks wonky (there's a big blue cylinder being supported by a 2x4 and the boiler is on bricks) so I figured I'd check.

Also, there was a leak the previous owner ignored and the pilot access panel is rusted up pretty good. If I take off the panel there's little/no rust inside of the boiler, so it's just cosmetic damage right?

Hard to see it from here. Post a closeup pic. The parts all come from different suppliers and that is normal. The blue cylinder is an expansion tank. Recommend you get the whole system check by a Pro who does hydronic/hot water systems. Furnace guys don't all know them. Usually plumbers do. Slant fin is an economy boiler and I have heard that the burners can go bad on some and then you have the potential for CO poisoning.

Slantfin doesn't make their own boiler controls. or dampers. Most boiler manufacturers don't make their own controls or dampers.
