Blown 3A Fuse in Control Board/HSI Mobile Home Furnace

Coleman DGAT070BDD Mobile Home Natural Gas, with Integrated Control Board (with A/C Condenser outside). HSI Ignition, Combustion Air Motor (Booster Assy).

A/C compressor winding shorted to comp. case. Customer put a window unit in temporarily (mobile home) with hopes of new compressor in the spring.

Heat turned on for the first time today, since comp. shorted. Fuse is blown on control board. Could the comp. short have blown the 3A fuse on the control board. Haven't been to the job yet.

Its possible that the transformer is grounded to the furnace frame. And the comp grounding took out the fuse. But not something that happens often.

3 would be better. 5 on't give protection from a slight over draw, but will against a dead short.
