Blowing cold air

I hope someone can help me. I woke up this morning and the outside heat pump was running, but the inside handler was not. I turned it off at the thermostat. I waited and turned it back on and it started running, the temp. was set for 73 and the temp was reading 70, both units started running, after about 7 mins. the air handler stop, but heat pump was still running. I turned it off and on again same thing, but this time the air handler kept running. The heat on light in the t/stat was flashing, then aux heat displayed steady, but it is blowing cold air. While I was out yesterday, my wife told me the air handler was buzzing and she turned it off. I turned it back on and have not heard any noises. I know this is a lot, I just wanted to get it all in. The air handler is a Goodman AR-49-1.
