Blower Troubles

I have a carrier forced air heating system. My system will start up, then the blower will blow warm air for about five minutes and then stop. It will cycle on and off for about 15 minutes and then stop all together.

There have been a couple days where it ran beautifully without troubles.

Last night it wouldn't work again and while I was messing with it I noticed the hot water heater kept running. Nothing was using water at the time.

Last year the blower gave me problems and I kept having to reset "something" to make it work again. I had that manual switch replaced with an automatic one and that was the end of the trouble last year.

I'm a single mom with not a lot of hvac knowledge. Although I'm learning.

My filters are fine.

Is there something I can check on my own or should I go ahead and phone a repair person?

Blower Troubles

Sounds like a fan relay or a bad fan moter.Try putting the fan in on position. This should select the high speed. Heat is usually a low to medium speed.
