Blower Motor Not Kicking On
When turning the thermostat fan position to on, the blower does not come on. Sometimes it works, and sometimes it doesn't. The problem first occured a few weeks ago, when we woke up and the house was freezing. My husband wiggled the wires and it started working again, and functioned for about 3 weeks. It stopped again yesterday, again wiggled the wires and it was operational for 24 hours.
Now it is out again and nothing seems to be "fixing it". Any idea what it could be and why it is an intermittent problem? Any help would be appreciated.

You need to check or substitute the motor run capacitor. If the capacitor is good, about the only thing left is the motor or wires connections.

Well, depending on what wire he wiggled, it could be a loose tstat wire, the tstat, or if you have a seperate blower speed for fan only it could be the motor wire. Does the fan run ok in the cooling mode?... in the heating mode?
