Blower and ignitor won't shut off!

Hello,

I have a Coleman Evcon Model No. U17R30K. We had a thunderstorm a few nights ago, which caused an intermittent power outage. Now, the blower and the ignitor coil on our unit will NOT shut off. Although the ignitor stays on (glowing orange and hot), the blower is NOT blowing hot air.

I've set the thermostat to "Auto" and "Off", but the fan continues to blow. I've reset it, taken out the batteries, and completely disconnected the thermostat, but the fan and the ignitor coil still won't shut off. I've also, tried tripping the breaker switch "off" and "on", but no dice.

Air conditioning is working properly when set to "Cold". Thermostat functions properly, shutting off cold air at a preset temperature, but the fan continues to blow. Thermostat also works properly when set to "Heat", (I hear it clicking when set to specific temps), however, there is NO hot air. Even though the ignitor is constantly on.

The furnace circuit board light is a constant "Green", which indicates it's functioning properly. I followed the wiring diagram to the "limit switch" to try and reset it. There's a little red button on the "limit switch", but doesn't move when i try to press down on it with the tip of a screwdriver.

I disconnected the "ignitor" temporarily so i can continue to use the air conditioner, and I turn off the unit via the main switch before my wife and I leave for work. Please help me fix this thing

Thanks in advance!

A, that isn't a limit switch. Its a roll out witch.

B. Good chance the boar is shorted out.

Try disconnecting the white wire from the W terminal on the furnace board. If it still does it, its probably the board(relay stuck shut).

the one behind the gas valve looks identical to the pic i posted. does it have a manual reset button? and if it does, do you think resetting it might work?

Its auto reset. An HSI won't stick on because of a tripped high limit, nor because of a tripped roll out switch.
