Blower Fires Up But No Heat, just Cold Air

Hello,
I have a Comfortmaker fan assisted combustion gas furnace model NTG3/FBF or NTN3/NBF with attached air conditioning unit in my garage that is about 7 years old. Currently, the blower fires up, but no heat comes out. I change the filter regularly and the air conditioning condenser outside is pretty clean. I set the digital thermostat to 75 with the fan on and it still blows cold, with the blower firing up over and over. I'm a single mom and would like to be able to fix it myself if it is a simple thing, like cleaning a part? any advice from all of you furnace gurus would be VERY MUCH appreciated.

I dought it is as something simple as cleaning a part. without knowing the details of your furnace ignition, my guess is it could be something as simple as the ignitior is out and will need replaced.

Thanks for the reply...! Any idea how much a new ignitor costs (estimated)to have installed? Just so there is no highway robbery to be had

Well if you do in fact have a bad ignitor, around here it will usually cost you around 100$. labor +part.

try shutting the main breaker for the furnace might reset a diagnostic.... our saying the blower runs is that the supply fan for the house,or the small fan on the furnace for the heat.might want to call for a servicecall to check the unit and let them call the part might be a loose control connection within the furnace section.alwysset the stat for heat and fan auto let the furnace bring the fan on all your doing in running the fan in ON is causing drafts with no heat.shut the toggle on the side of the furnae off set the stat to heat and go into the garage and put the toggle switch back up...the first thing you should see is a sparking and then a pilot lighting.when the sparking stops the main gas heat should come on...if your not even getting a spark on repower-up get a guy in.
