Which is better...Floor or Ceiling Registers?

I've always lived in a house that had ceiling registers for the heating and air conditioning. I'm looking to buy a house and I've noticed some of them have the registers in the floor. Which is better for a house in Oklahoma? What are the pros and cons of each? I did a search online and can't find any good answers. I actually perfer the ceiling because I hate having to arrange the furniture according to the floor vents so you don't cover them up.

not really a lot of difference in performance

the choice is usually determined by the construction of the house - which is more economical to install

with ceiling registers, you always want to be sure all attic ductwork is well insulated - condensation dripping on the ceiling will ruin your ceiling

A good design layout/sizing, proper insulation and sealing of ductwork is more important. Heavier heat use floor registers, Heavier AC use ceiling.
Hell, we grew up with out it.:) :)
