Best polish to use on HVAC?

This is a silly question, but what the heck.

I have two Goodman HVAC condensers. As you may know, it's the typical dark gray color. Unfortunately, these things sit in the sun all day with virtually no cover. As a result, the finish on both units has faded significantly.

A few months ago I found a really good, closeout type deal, on new replacement tops. Now that summer is over I'm going to install the new tops, but I was wondering what polish I can use to protect the units from the effects of damaging sun rays.

Also, how does one remove rust from the housing of both condenser fans. Yes, it's my OCD acting up. LOL

Car wax will keep the paint fresh. Try rubbing compound for the rust stains.
