Before During and After, A Pictorial

Of course this took out the condenser fan motor so that got replaced and it was not cheap. Nothing but OEM for this bad boy. 1/15th 800 rpm, 208/230. 5 MFd.

Thanks, man. Just another day in the life of an hvac tech.

I was testing my phone's camera, glad it worked. I have a few more pics I 'll get around to posting, blown caps and whatnot/ Thought it'd be fun to have pics of the good, the bad and the ugly. And the repaired.

Blown 80/5 run cap. You can see the oil and the rounded top so no need to even test it.

I only had an 80/7.5 dual so to keep the fan spinning at it's right speed I jumped to a single 5 mfd.

Best part of my day, restocking at the supply house!

Not sure I'm going out to try and be the next Dr. Zorloff youtube hvac tech, but I might use that for something else, thanks.

So I go back to my sister's place to remove the suction drier (no pressure drop whatsover, one week later but I did remove the shraeders and charge and release ntirogen from both lines, twice at time of compressor install so no surprise there wasn't any restriction)

and I find the system low on refrigerant, accumulator leaking.

while I nitro tested it at 250 psia

dopped the nitro charge, vacuumed for 45 minutes and I left it at this
