bathroom vents

Well I have a question in regards to my bathroom vents. My fans vents and vent into the attic. Is this correct? Is this going to create moisture in my attic? I was under the impression that the bathroom vents should vent all the out the roof through a duct.

Out the roof or a sidewall. How long has this been just into the attic space? Look closely at the underside of the roof and see if you notice and black areas indicating mold growth
