basement bathroom venting

When venting a basement bathroom does the exhaust have to go thru the roof or just outside. I am talking about sewer vent sewer gas vent. not a bathroom fan

In Ontario, Canada by code it's required to go 150mm (6") above the roof. It's allowed to come out of the the building (as a 3" pipe) as long as it goes up 6" above the roof. It also has to be something like 2m (6') from the nearest opening window.

The vent on my basement bathroom, is a wall mount unit that vents to the laundryroom on the other side of the wall. Mario, are you telling me its not up to code ?:yes:

No, as long as it is accessible and above flood level rim you're golden. I was answering his question though.

Perhaps I misunderstood but sounds like you're saying your bathroom vents in to another indoor space? That's a big no no as where is that moist air then suppose to go?! Apologies if I mistook what you said.
