The circulator relay in my Honeywell aquastat (I think it's L8124A) went bad late last winter. It would occasionally chatter and finally it failed to ever engage. This, of course, took out one of my heating zones. My other three zones use 845A relays. Instead of replacing the aquastat, which would cost over $200 and requires me to mess with the boiler, I plan on adding another 845A (for about $60) and moving the circulator controls to it (and of course, adding line power). Can anyone see a reason why this wouldn't work?
