bad gas valve?

Really should have called back Sears, when it stopped working the next day.
Same with the other company.

There should be a diagram on the blower door. If its gone. Lots of those old diagrams are not around on the internet.

bad gas valve?

I have looked on the internet and only found some email addresses that say they have them.

I do not see any information to wire a basic 5 post 24v relay

Honestly I think I just need to know about the RED and Com on the thermostat wiring

do red and COM have power from the 24v tranformer
1 hot to each post RED and COM?

R of stat is fed from R of transformer.
C of stat is connected to C(common, its not a hot) of transformer.

Don't keep assuming.
Or you will burn up more stuff then you care to replace.

You may be better off biting the bullet on this one. And calling a service tech in.
