Bad Contactors

Just had my blower motor replaced and now two days later the blower won't shut off. After testing, it appears that the contactors need replaced along with the transformer. I am fairly handy but somewhat of a novice at HVAC reapir. My question is two-fold:

1. Could the new blower motor (or work related to it) have had any impact on the sudden issue with the contactors and burnt out transformer?

2. The transformer is no problem, but how difficult is it to change the contactors? I have never changed it before.

I have a Carrier Model 38TH030310DL.

Yes any work on the unit could have shorted out the transformer.

A contactor is very straight forward to change, just go wire for wire if you can't follow the wiring schematic.

Seems kinda strange that after 2 days it's now running all the time, did you check the fan setting on your t-stat maybe it got switched off of auto....

If you look at his post he said the transformer is bad, with no low voltage power the position of the fan swith is a non issue.
