B-vent supports?

Hi, I'm running b-vent for a water heater vertically up a wall cavity from a basement to an attic. Are any straps or supports needed in the wall cavity to secure the vent? And if so, how many for an 8' rise?

B-vent supports?

They make base supports for B vent that keeps the pipe away from combustibles and holds the pipe in place, that's what you need for support and safety. The base tabs fit into the groves on the pipe.
