Aux and Emergency CPH settings

I have a Trane 2 Heat/1 Cool Heat Pump with a 15CEER rating and a TCONT602AF22MA programmable thermostat. I'm not sure that I have all the CPH settings correct.
Here are the installer's guide settings available.
Heat cycle rate
(CPH: cycles/hour)
5 For gas or oil furnaces of less than 90% efficiency
1 For steam or gravity systems
3 For hot water systems & furnaces of over 90% efficiency
9 For electric furnaces
[Other cycle rate options: 2, 4, 6, 7, 8, 10, 11 or 12 CPH]
Second stage heat
cycle rate/
Auxiliary heat
(CPH)
5 For gas or oil furnaces of less than 90% efficiency
1 For steam or gravity systems
3 For hot water systems & furnaces of over 90% efficiency
9 For electric furnaces
[Other cycle rate options: 2, 4, 6, 7, 8, 10, 11 or 12 CPH]

Emergency heat
cycle rate
(CPH)
9 For electric emergency heat
1 For steam or gravity systems
3 For hot water systems & furnaces of over 90% efficiency
5 For gas or oil furnaces of less than 90% efficiency
[Other cycle rate options: 2, 4, 6, 7, 8, 10, 11 or 12 CPH]

I have the following set:
Heat Cycle Rate: 3
Second Stage Heat Cycle Rate/Auxillery Heat: 3
Emergency Heat Cycle Rate: 3

I'm pretty sure the first two settings are correct...just not sure what the Emergency Heat CPH should be set at. From what I've read 3 sounds right, but was wondering if it should be at "9 EMERGENCY HEAT" setting. Seems like the Aux heat currently activates the heater pack.

Thanks for your help.

Neil

Aux and Emergency CPH settings

Set all of them to 3.

You won't like 9 CPH for the electric aux or emergency heat.

Cool

Aux and Emergency CPH settings

That is what I thought. The installer had Emergency heat set at 9 and my electric bill this winter has been higher than usual. I'll be curious to see the bill after this change.
