Auto Air Vent

Is it possible to relace this auto air vent that is shown here ontop of my air scoop?
I checked all of the baseboards and there is no bleeder valves. I am starting to hear more and more clanking more than the adverage clicking that occers with by the fins...and it has got to be that this is failing or failed. Is there a way to check it?
I would rather do myself instead of calling my heating contractor.

Auto Air Vent

They are easy to replace and easy to test, there is a small cap on top twist it off and push in the pin. To change it use the shut offs to isolate the line then turn it out by hand, they can be bought from home depot like 20$ put some dope on the threads if the new one and twist it in by hand.
