Attic/HVAC Issue

Okay, so I live in a 4 bedroom apt. with 5 people. Previously a roommate moved out and I moved into his room which is located (basically) in the attic. This room gets extremly hot even during the winter. From what I can tell the air duct for our central heating/cooling goes through here for the entire house. There are two on each end. And during the winter my roommates will have the heat at 70 which makes it somewhere around 80's and 90's. There is one small window on the far end of the room which I have place a small fan, and I have a big fan drawing air towards that fan. Is there anything at all I could do?

If you mean there are 4 ducts or registers, they're likely in the walls or the floor. Poor man say remove registers and stuff a towel or old tee shirt into opening where heat comes from. Shut down one at a time to see effect.

Alternately use a piece of tin or flashing to cover hole(s) completely or partially or some combination. This will make your roommates' rooms hotter too and the one controlling the thermostat may lower temp as well.

Thank you! My girlfriend told me about putting some sort of cloth into the vent but I was unsure if that was a fire hazard?

Actually I just want to post, we messed around on a few things last night...woke up to a freezing room! We covered the vents and when that didnt seem to help we just put a bigger fan in front of the little hole to outside =P
