Armstrong Air - Circulation Blower Not Start

Need a second opinion...hope to not freeze in Minnesota

I have an Armstrong Air Ultra V furnace. Recently the circulation blower does not come on.

I shut down the furnace and turned it back on to check the sequence of operation. The inducer motor comes on fine. Then the call for gas and the burners kick on without problem. Then the call for the circulation fan, but it does not come on and I get a red LED light showing on the interface board.

With the furnace powered down I have checked the filter, the connections, and that the fan spins without problems.

My thinking is the it may be a bad interface board, but wanted to get some thoughts...

Thanks

Check the power to the motor when calling for fan.

if there is power to the motor replace capacitor and motor.

if there is no power, or incorrect power, check line voltage to unit. if correct, replace board.

If you are unfamiliar with electrical schematics or troubleshooting, CALL A SERVICE TECH. as this can be hazardous to your health.

Thanks Aceinstaller. You were right on!

There was power to the motor, but it wasn't kicking on. So, I replaced the powerhead unit to the GE motor and this fixed the problem. This furnace had a GE motor and I was able to just replace the power head unit. This was good since replacing the whole motor would have been expensive

Thanks Again!!

Chris,

I have same furnance and my motor head also just went...Had a very hard time finding the part....I got it from a distributor who had to order it from Allied Air (Armstrong parent co.) They charged me $425 for the unit which seems outrageous. Do you remember what you paid?

Thanks
