Aprilaire Humidifer Maintenance How To ?
I have an Aprilaire humidifier model 550 in my home that was with the house when it was built. Other than changing the filter pad once and the water drip hose once, no other maintenance has ever been done on the unit. I'm sure that over 15 yrs(the age of the home and humidifier) that things should be replaced on it to make the unit run at peak performance?
Are there things that should be changed out for sure just from your experience no matter what, other than the filter? Thanks for the advice. |

Aprilaire Humidifer Maintenance How To ?
Make sure that the drip tray still has its grit. That helps the water flow evenly across it.
And change the pad yearly. |
