Aprilaire 800 to thermostat

Hi everyone,

I Installed an aprilaire 800 with the 850 blower pack about two weeks ago. Great unit, simple install and it really works well. What I would like to do is have my air handler fan kick on when there is a call for humidity. I have a York s1-thsu32hp7y thermostat. Does anyone know if this is possible and how I would wire this? I currently have the unit hooked up to the #65 humidistat that came with the blower pack.

Thank you!

Aprilaire 800 to thermostat

I haven't done this but I noticed that the manual for the Aprilaire #58 digital humidistat/controller I put in last year had a way to do it. It requires an add-on relay. Look at Figure M in the below document. Diagram says it works with 400, 500, 600 and 700 series humidifiers.
