Aprilaire 700 Wiring Question

I am installing an Aprilaire 700 to a Ruud UHBK handler. I was going to wire the digital humidistat R&C terminals to the W1&C at the handler. I saw it wired this way on a Trane air handler with a similar humidifier. One of the diagrams for the Aprilaire showed this wiring as the preferred method. Then I would plug the fan from the humidifier to an ac outlet nearby. Would this setup supply the correct voltage and operate the humidifier when there was call for heat?

R and c get a constant 24 from a transformer to powrr backlight, is this the newest #60 control? if its the 58 control, for your air handler/ heatpump put w/g from humidistat to g on board. and cf to common on board.

Not sure which model yet. I will receive the humidifier from shipper soon. I'll follow your instructions if its the #58.

Thanks newtech. Post #4 explains that I am not quite sure about R & C getting the constant 24 from the transformer. Post #5 is asking for further explanation. I was hoping for a little more help.

Could I please get clarification on the R & C wiring? Do I wire the R to R on IFC board in air handler, C to C on IFC board, W/G to G on IFC board and C/F to C on IFC board?

I finally learned from a friend of mine in the HVAC business on the correct wiring. I thought this forum was designed to help the DIY'er. I'm not sure what was wrong with my question. Maybe I will have better luck next time.

You got the answer to your original question.

Not all threads get 100's of replys.

Nice spam you posted Lee.

I see you used a different name here, then on that other site.
