Aprilaire 600 Wiring

Good evening. Hoping for some help with the wiring of my new Aprilaire 600. I've attached a picture of the wiring diagram as well as a picture of my furnace circuit board and the humidstat. According to the wiring diagram there are five connections on the circuit board that need to either be routed through or continue to the humidstat. The first one 'R' is easy ('R' to 'R'). 'G' (green wire) should be removed from the circuit board connection and routed to the 'G' on the humidstat. The 'G' connection on the circuit board is then connected to the 'Gf' on the humidstat. The 'W' on the circuit board is easy ('W' to 'W'). I have two issues I'm not sure of. What does the 'C' on the diagram refer to? Also, what is the point of the transformer?

Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks.

C, is common. The c of the humidistat must connect to the C of your furnace board. Needed o power the humidistat. Your furnace board should already have a wire from the A/C connected to it.

The transformer is to actually power the humidifier/open the solenoid valve. Helps to prevent over loading the furnace's transformer.

looks good. I always like hard pipe better than that plastic flex stuff they give you, gets better airflow.
