anyone ever heard about coaire?

I am putting central air for the first time. The cheapest quote I got was for a 13 seer 2 ton coaire. This was a company specializing in Trane products but they also carry coaire for budget minded people. The sale rep said they started acrrying this brand just a week ago and he doesn't have much info. I cant find anything on the net either. Anyone knows anything about coaire

Sounds like a holding company and cheaper generic product which I would be concerned about. I have seen some really cheap noisy units from south of the US border and would not want one unless you can stand the noise. You get what you pay for.

Coaire is a relabeling manufacturers distributor in Texas, much like Heat Controller in Michigan. Heat Controller relabels Rheem product, ClimateMaster Geo, and LG Ductless under the Century & Comfort Aire brands.

I was at the ComforTech conference in Nashville, TN last Sept. and ran across them. As long as your contractor is backed by a reputable distributor, it appears that Coaire has their support in place so should not be a problem.

Good Luck.
