american standard freedom 90 problem

I have an american standard freedom 90 that keeps going into error code 3 which is a pressure switch lockout code and won't allow the furnace to restart. Any suggestions or solutions to this issue?

Check the intake and exhaust pipes outside for blockage. Stick your fingers inside them to be sure no snow or debris has got sucked in there.

How old is this furnace. Have you had it professionally serviced once a year. The condensate trap may be dirty and not draining the water from the heat exchanger. Does the exhaust fan inside the furnace run when you turn the heat up. If not then that is the problem.

Call an HVAC contractor to perform maintenance. Money well spent and you'll have a nice, warm home.

Should have a 5 yr warranty on parts and you may want to call a Am Std. tech. If you mess with it then problems could arise. May have a faulty pressure switch or other problem which a tech with a manometer needs to check.
