I have reset the roll out switch and unplugged the furnace multiple times.
Voltage from one side of the switch to ground is 24v and voltage from the other side to ground is also 24 volts. Why is the stupid light blinking?
The circuit for the roll out switch goes from the control board to the roll out switch and back to the control board. So if there is 24 volts going through the circuit then why is the light still blinking?
leading me to think the control board isn't doing somthing right..
make sure you are finding all the rollouts. On some diagrams they just show rollout switch but it could be several of them. You can also check by disconnnecting wires and ohming across switch. Make sure all connections are good and the plug is on the board tight. I would say if all rollouts are closed and the light is blinking rollout then the board is bad.
If the rollout is tripping you might have a bigger problem. The switch could be doing its job and not letting furnace operate. If the rollouts are tripping you need to have it looked at by a HVAC tech.
