amana natural gas furnace problem

Every 6 months the tech comes and "cleans" the AC or the furnace to get it to work.
I hope to do it myself if I can.

So the power is on at the furnace , I turned the side switch on / off and heard a click near the control board in furnace.
The gas valve is also on. The fan comes on if thermostat set in on mode, but in auto mode it doesnt start.
The control board has a few wires and some instructions but no LED lights. I couldnt find the igniter (dont know if its electric or pilot light)

Help !

1st check to see if thermostat is set to "heat" mode..then make sure the set temperature on thermostat is above room temp by at least 2 degrees..furnace switch in "on" position ...the furnace should then start.. if not let us know what is happening and make and model and post pics if possible then maybe we can help
