Amana Furnace Won't Light

I have an Amana Furnace Model #GUIC070FA30 that was installed in 2004. For some reason it will occaisionally ignore the thermostat and stay off. I know it's not the thermostat because when I crossed the red and white wire, the furnace stayed off. I shut everything off and back on, then it works. After a few days, the same thing happens. Any ideas? Thanks in advance!

Clean the flame sensor and see if it helps.

Amana Furnace Won't Light

Thanks for the advice. The indicator light was on continuously so I figured it must be the control board. This morning my house was 60 degrees again so I shut the furnace off for 5 min and back on and it worked. I called the HVAC company that installed the furnace 4 years ago and they came out. The first guy said the furnace was just dusty, so he cleaned it, and 6 hours later the problem came back. I convinced the second guy to replace the control board since it was under warranty. Now I have my fingers crossed!

Well.
If it quits again tonight, or tomorrow.
Check the error code.
Then when the tech comes back, see if what he says was wrong. Coinsides with the error.
