Question

Amana 2005 condensor paired with 3.5 ton Goodman unit, but I paid for a 4 ton Amana

I had a company instal a new furnace, coil and furnance. I was sold a Amana ocil and condensor and furnance, all on my invoice was a 4 ton.
But the company installed a 4 ton condensor and furnance, but a 3.5 ton coil. I was under the impression all of these items were Amana. This was back in 2005.
Now the coil has gone bad and I just discovered the company installed the 3.5 goodman coil not the Amana 4 ton we paid for!
The company wants to replace the coil with a 3.5 ton again because they said that's what Amana recommened. The company said back in 2005 that's what the manufacturer recommendeda dn that's why they changed it to 3.5 and want to replace it with a 3.5.
The condensor is a 10 SEER.
At this point I'm really skeptical to not go with the 4 ton but the company says it's okay to use a 3.5 ton.
How can I confirm that Amana said it's okay to use a 3.5 ton on this unit? Who can I call or get it in writing?
Is the Goodman coil compatiable with the Amana condensor??
Please help.

Goodman owns Amana.

These model numbers were installed but I paid for a 4 ton coil. So my question is if it is okay to use a 3.5 coil with this model number??

Goodman/Amana can verify weather the smaller coil is ok to use or not. Its only 6 years old, so they should still have records of weather or not it was ever an approved match.

They make both a 4.33 sq ft coil and 6 sq ft coil both only listed as 3.5 ton. With no true 4 ton coil listed in that horizontal case coil line. They jump from 3.5 ton to 5 ton. And the 3.5 ton coils have air flow listings up to 1800 CFM. Which is more then a 4 ton needs.
