Am Std Freedom 90 fan runs continuously with T Stat fan on auto heat/cool on off

What would be the problem with the furnace if the blower stays on even with the T Stat on auto and heat/cool on off? I get a continuous green flash and 1 red flash every 20 seconds.

First I would say check the code chart on the furnace to determine what the flash code means.

You can forget the red LED it is a Liteport

The Green LED flashes slow = Normal operation No call for heat

The Green LED flashes fast = Call for heat

If you can remove the thermostat from it's base...Does the fan stop running"

If yes then replace the thermostat

If no then remove the panel from the furnace and remove the wire connected at the terminal block "G". Either install the panels or hold in the safety switch and does the fan run?

If removing the thermostat "G" wire on the board does not stop the fan then it's time to check if any of the limit controls on the furnace are open? (power to one side only)

If they are all OK then a stuck fan relay would be the suspect.
