Air handler Blower Motor

I would like to know if there will be an increase in my electrical power bill if I leave the air handler fan blower motor running 24/7 in the ON position instead of AUTO on the thermostat.

If its a PSC blower, yes, and by a fair amount.

If its a VS blower, yes, but not much.

Air handler Blower Motor

Yep. the average PSC motor uses about 500 watts = 1/2 kilowatt x your rate /kwh. $1/day in some places and more in others. A ECM VS motor uses about 75% less (a lot less)! If the motor has 3-5 wires coming from it then it is PSC if it has a wiring harness with 16 wires from the motor to a control board them it is ECM. Post the make and model # of the air handler and we may know what it is.
