Air Handler

Should you be able to shine a light through the slant coil in the air handler?

I have tried and no light shines through.

Does this mean my coil is clogged or needs cleaning?

Thanks.

Air Handler

Some coils from day one, a light won't shine through.

So a light test doesn't really tell you much on some coils.

When in doubt. Clean the coil.
