air conditioner leaked freom

a guy came over and said my freon leaked out thru the tubes going to the condensor. what pressures are these things pumped up too?

If i remove the tubes can i use an aircompressor to find the source of this leak.

I bought a new set of tubes just in case. this compressor uses the old refrigerent, does it pay to update the condensor?

How did he know the leak wasnt in the compressor?
who is lying to me?

It's not a DIY job. Even cracking a line open is against the law unless your licensed to do so.
How old is this unit?
Did you watch him check for the leak? There's several ways to check for a leak but using compressed air is sure not one of them.

Compressor discharge can go well over 200 PSI in R22 units. You should ask the guy why he said the leak was thru the tubing or maybe he tested and saw the leak.
